This week’s Wellness Wednesday is a very special one, we’re doing something a little different!
I’m sure by now everyone’s met Cassidy, the miracle kitty at TinyKittens. Cassidy was found at 8weeks old with no back feet! Unsure of weather he was born without them or if they were lost during birth, Cassidy still managed to survive on his own (well, with a little help from his brother Topper) until he was finally found and rescued. He has had so many challenges in such a short amount of life but he’s a fighter and is sure going strong!
So after a flood of calls and email’s from Cassidy’s fans looking for ways to help him, we were put in contact with Shelly at TinyKittens, and now the ball is rolling! Andrew got the opportunity to meet Cassidy yesterday and take some measurements, and the goal is to custom build a wheelchair, tiny enough for Cassidy until he is big enough to fit into a Walkin’ Wheels wheelchair, and eventually hopefully be fit for prosthetics.
We thank everyone for your support, we are sure feeling the love over here. We hope we can create something wonderful for Cassidy, he sure deserves it!

Thank you very much for Andrew’s visit and his promise of a beta version / prototype wheelchair in a weeks’ time. We know Cass is terribly tiny and will be a difficult fit, but he so wants to be mobile, to explore and be a regular, scampy almost 12-week-old kitten. We so appreciate your help.

I don’t know if Cassidy is adoptable, but you can contact tinykittens.com , they are the rescue where Cassidy is being taken care of and they have many little kitty’s who need homes!
I am so in love with Cassidy I would love to give her a forever home, I do however live in Tennessee I don’t know if that would be a problem getting her here with me and disabled husband he is in a wheelchair also. That’s not the only reason I want to adopt her I just love the way she is still active even with what she went through. Please consider us as a forever family for Cassidy.

Hi! I know you aren’t involved with Cassidy’s adoption but I just really, really, really want to thank all of you for all the help you have given to help our little Cassidy! We all love him so, so much. there a lot of folks all around the world who love Cassidy and it makes me feel good when I see people who care for animals and do what they can to help them. I have worked in our humane society and love animals and have done everything I can here in my city to help them..but it can still be discouraging at times when I see needs that have to be addressed and they are not met. You guys have really blessed me in all that you do for animals! THANK YOU!
